Well, it seems like the “social problems” and notion of Japan being a haven is perhaps taking it too far. Perhaps you’re not aware of the amount of corruption in J-government and J-police. Especially if you’re one of those people “taking root” here.
You may argue, “well, I won’t be committing any crimes” well, you don’t have to. The police here can hold you, with access to an attorney for 28 days!
For me, Japan is just another country, I gave up some problems for new ones. At least in my country, my voice counted, and I had legal access to representation.
