For example: Schoolgirl prostitution Schoolgirl poisoning Schoolgirl gang rape Schoolgirl air guitar Schoolgirl STDs Schoolgirl panties Schoolgirl self-harm Schoolgirl sex slave Schoolgirl murder And so on. :? JML: Yikes, it sounds like you had an incredibly negative experience working there. I would imagine that you probably have tons of interesting stories that you could tell about your time there, though. I hope you've since moved on to greener pastures.

Jeff, You are very right. I spent a seemingly interminable time working at one of the other major Japanese papers here in Tokyo and was utterly despondent at the total lack of interest in quality. Vested interests and the office hierarchy are all the matter, and that applies equally to the non-Japanese staff masquerading as journalists there.

It was a thoroughly depressing time and an experience which I would not contemplate repeating.
