I have spent the betterpart of the day in the office discussing various tatics of how people would deal with this situation if it came up.
More often than not, weird forms of vengeance.

Patrick: I have a similar problem with the people who live in the apartment above mine. The way they stomp around all the time, you'd think they were playing hopscotch up there or something. That's not as bad as my last place, though: the guy upstairs sounded like he was moving furniture around every night, and the two "ladies of the night" next door would wake me up every morning at around 4:30 when they came home from "work."

elkenarra: Wow, "naughty like a poet talent" -- thank you! :D That really means a lot. However, we all know that you, señor, es un poeta magnifico!

Every Sunday afternoon, one of my neighbors (I think she lives 2 floors down), takes her kids to the rooftop patio. To my top-floor ears, the kids always seem to be either be jumping in lead shoes and tossing bricks around.

But, it only lasts for a few minutes. And it's 1/1000th of the annoyance of this crazy lady.
